A (FUN) and Systematic Approach to Wine Tasting

Have you ever wondered the right way to taste wine? Or are looking to become a more savvy sipper? Join us the last Saturday of each month as we de-mystify the wine tasting process from start to end. You’ll expand your wine terminology vocabulary and gain useful tools to identify an array of wines as we taste through a flight together. The course will include a light pairing to educate students of the influence of food on wine, along with take-home training materials and a souvenir wine glass.

2024 Solar Eclipse Spectacular

Join us for an unforgettable viewing experience of the Solar Eclipse at Meierstone Vineyards on April 8, 2024. Located in the “path of totality” this event features private parking, a boxed lunch, a complimentary glass of wine, official Solar Eclipse viewing glasses and a MSV souvenir wine glass. Annular Eclipse Viewing

The Annular Eclipse on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Join us for a viewing of the annular eclipse and stand in awe as the moon passes in front of the sun, creating a stunning “ring of fire” effect. This astronomical event will be visible from our location, and we have everything you need to make the most of it – including official NASA-approved protective viewing glasses to watch the eclipse safely and comfortably. No RSVP is required, and admission is free. Viewing glasses are complimentary with any wine purchase. Come early, grab a seat and enjoy the show!

September 20th marks the 158th anniversary of the first manned flight in Gillespie County by Jacob Brodbeck and the one-year anniversary celebration of Meierstone Vineyards. Join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce and the official release of Meierstone Vineyard’s Airship Red Blend Wine. A paper airplane throwing contest with prizes, photo op with the chamber, and wine by the glass/bottle will be available for purchase. Hope to see you there!

Welcome to a Heroic Treasure Hunt, that sends our adventure loving friends from Hye Meadow to our wonderful friends throughout Hye!  The object is to bring you to each location to answer questions about each winery and to receive a “treasure” in return.  When all the “treasure” is collected you will return here to Hye Meadow show your treasure to earn a chance to get even more rewards! Each one will contain a gift certificate to all the places you visited!

We are excited to announce Bryan’s on 290 is hosting our pre-release wine dinner, featuring MSV’s flagship medium-bodied Sangiovese blend, the Airship, and limited production Souzao. This is a great opportunity to enjoy an evening of delicious food and wine while mingling with fellow wine enthusiasts.

Guests will enjoy a curated meal and short presentation about the Father of US Aviation, Jacob Brodbeck, who flew the first powered, manned airship in the United States in Gillespie County in 1865, forty years before the Wright Brothers.

You may invite guests, so please indicate if you are joining any other parties so we can have a group table ready. We hope to see you there and raise a glass to our latest wine releases!
